Nse Ikpe Etim on celebrity marriage break-ups
In this interview with Pulse TV, Nse Ikpe Etim stated that divorce is not peculiar to celebrities. This is what she had to say, “I think it is an unfair thing to say, I worked in the bank industry, there were lots of break ups, but because they are not in the limelight, nobody seems to see it, nobody seems to hear it. Now, because unfortunately, our lives have to be bared out to the world, everyone gets to hear or see what’s going on in our homes everywhere.”
“It’s not a peculiar thing to the celebrities. If you say there is a rise in the divorce rate in marriages generally, then, I will say “Yes, true”. If you say in celebrity marriages, I will say“No”, divorce is not peculiar to them, it happens to everybody.”
“Anyone can be in a bad marriage and decide that it’s better to leave than to be there and be unhappy. Besides, it’s much better to leave than to be there and be unhappy. I think happiness is very key. So, if you are not happy, fine, do what makes you happy.”
“We should not be judged by decisions we take, we decide what we want out of our lives, and that’s the way it should be.”
