Buhle Mkhize was born in 1984 in South Africa. She is a fashion designer and fashionista. She runs an online style and store page, Mad About Fashion.
Buhle Mkhize Early Life
Her mother died when she was 12 years old. Her father’s job, as a bakery driver made him work odd hours, making it impossible for him to look after her. He was advised to relocate her because she was becoming a woman. A friend offered to let her live with them in Durban.
In high school, she made friends with a girl named Adele Finger. They got close she was living with them. After matric, Adele’s mom suggested that they go overseas and be au pairs (a nanny in another country).
Buhle Mkhize Education Background and Career
Buhle Mkhize studied psychology at a college in London in which she supported herself financially from working as an au pair in Amsterdam.
She moved to America where she also au pair for a new family. She made friends who loved her fashion sense and helped her open her own boutique.
She runs a fashion boutique , Lime Designs in Manhattan and also write for local fashion magazines. She also plays fashion police at high profile events like the Kentucky Derby, and dresses high profile clients like Bruno Mars.
She also owns an image consulting business and do a regular style feature on Gagasi fM. She also runs an online style and store page, Mad About Fashion.

News of the then home affairs minister’s extramarital affair with Mkhize was first flung in the spotlight in 2015 when Mkhize and Mrs Gigaba, known affectionately as Mrs Gigabyte, had it out on social media with Mrs Gigabyte calling Mkhize a prostitute.

According to Mkhize, an arrangement was made in co-operation with SA Intelligence to have R500,000 given to her in order for her to keep her mouth shut about the affair.
She claimed the deal fell through after Noma began attacking her on social media.
In an open letter penned as an attempt to clear her name, Mkhize alleged Gigaba lied about seeing her behind his wife’s back, despite being in contact with her in the days leading up to his wedding in August 2014.
